HL7 FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) Release 4 is the latest version of the international standard for exchanging healthcare information electronically. FHIR uses RESTful APIs with JSON or XML payloads, making it modern and developer-friendly compared to older HL7 v2 messaging. Key resources used by MOVO-X include: Patient (demographics), Appointment (scheduling), Encounter (clinical visit), Observation (vitals), and Questionnaire (consent forms). MOVO-X's FHIR R4 adapter is certified against the Malaysian FHIR Implementation Guide published by MOH.
Malaysian Context
MOH Malaysia's National Health Data Dictionary (NHDD) and the Malaysia FHIR Implementation Guide define the national data standards for healthcare interoperability. All new MOH-connected digital health systems must support FHIR R4.
