Average Wait Time
Mean elapsed time between a patient joining the queue and being called for service.
Average wait time (AWT) is the primary patient satisfaction metric in outpatient settings. It is calculated as the mean of (call_time - arrival_time) across all served patients in a period. MOVO-X dashboards track AWT in real-time by department, day, hour, and doctor. The system displays live estimated wait time to patients on the display board and via WhatsApp, reducing anxiety even when wait times are long.
Malaysian Context
MOH KPI: government hospital OPD AWT target is <2 hours. Private hospitals target <60 minutes. MOVO-X helps facilities track against these benchmarks automatically.
