PHI (Protected Health Information)
Any information that can identify an individual and relates to their health, treatment, or payment.
Protected Health Information (PHI) is a US HIPAA term but is widely used in healthcare security to mean any data that identifies an individual in connection with their health status, medical conditions, treatment, or payment. In Malaysia, healthcare PHI is regulated as sensitive personal data under PDPA 2010 and falls under PHFSA 1998 medical records requirements. MOVO-X encrypts all PHI at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3), with row-level security ensuring each hospital can only access its own patients' data.
