Symptom Checker
A patient-facing interface that collects reported symptoms and suggests possible conditions or actions.
A symptom checker is a structured interview system (often AI-powered) that guides patients through symptom reporting and suggests appropriate care pathways. In MOVO-X kiosks, the symptom checker is the first screen of the OPD check-in flow, collecting: chief complaint, symptom duration, severity, and associated symptoms. The output feeds the AI triage model and pre-populates the nursing assessment form, saving time during the consultation.
Malaysian Context
The COVID-19 pandemic normalised symptom pre-screening in Malaysian hospitals. MOVO-X builds on this familiarity to deploy more sophisticated symptom checkers for OPD settings.
