Physical Queue
A traditional queue where patients wait in person at a facility, typically with a numbered token.
A physical queue is the traditional model where patients present at a counter, receive a printed numbered token, and wait in the facility seating area until their number is called. While less flexible than virtual queues, physical queues remain appropriate in emergency departments, pharmacies with short wait times, or when patient safety requires on-site monitoring. Modern kiosk systems support both models simultaneously, letting patients choose between sitting in queue or receiving a virtual notification.
