Patient Queue
The ordered list of patients waiting for a specific healthcare service at a given time.
A patient queue is the structured sequence of patients waiting to receive a specific healthcare service — consultation, pharmacy dispensing, blood draw, radiology, or discharge. Queues can be physical (patients sit in a waiting room in order) or virtual (patients receive a token and are free to wait anywhere, summoned by display board or SMS/WhatsApp). Effective queue management tracks queue depth, estimated wait time, and service velocity across all concurrent queues in a facility.

During Ramadan and school holiday peaks, Malaysian hospital queues can reach 200+ patients per department. MOVO-X predictive analytics flags these events 48 hours ahead.
